What would cause redness of the testicles?

I know this is kind of gross but I'm freaking out. Yesterday the skin covering my testicles was dry and red and had a very small amount of skin flaking off. It didn't really itch but I put hydrocortisone on it anyway and it seems like the redness is spreading. I haven't had sex in like a year so I'm pretty sure I can rule out an STD... It's been really hot and humid out, could that have anything to do with it?

It could be the hot weather, it could also be an allergic reaction to something or chaffing. Try putting some cream/ointment on it and if it gets worse or doesn't go in a few days go to the doctor.
